Research

The human intestine encounters a vast array of molecules from the microbiome, diet, and pathogens. However, the mechanisms by which the intestinal immune system permits beneficial microbes and nutrients while mounting an inflammatory response to pathogens, remain largely unknown. This knowledge gap has impeded the rational design of therapies for diseases arising from immune disruptions, like cancer, IBD, and allergy.

Our lab addresses this challenge by focusing on T cell receptor recognition and developing a new technology to delve into human immunology at the molecular level.

We are recruiting at all levels and are looking for ambitious, curiosity-driven individuals.
