Research

We develop computational and experimental approaches to search for new therapeutic strategies for diseases. It is now possible to measure molecular changes across the genome, epigenome, proteome, and metabolome.  Each data source provides a very narrow view of the cell. Our lab develops machine learning approaches to integrate these data as well as clinical information to reconstruct signaling pathways and identify previously unrecognized regulatory mechanisms that contribute to the etiology of disease and may provide new approaches for treatment.  Current projects focus on the study of neurodegenerative diseases and of cancer.
