The university will be closed on November 28th and 29th in observance of Thanksgiving break. To everyone celebrating, we hope you enjoy time with loved ones and perhaps a slice of your favorite pie!
We also recognize that Thanksgiving holds different meanings for members of our community. For some, it is a time of reflection or a Day of Mourning, acknowledging the historical and ongoing injustices faced by Native American communities.
Others may come from cultures that do not observe Thanksgiving or celebrate it on a different day. Some may spend the holiday with chosen family or in ways unique to their traditions and values. If you choose to give thanks for the abundance in your life and service calls to you, many opportunities are available in the greater Boston area.
For those seeking alternative ways to enjoy the week, perhaps consider a workshop to create your own Autumn table masterpiece, stroll or hike (free) locally at the Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University or the Blue Hills Reservation, take a Thanksgiving lunch cruise in Boston Harbor, or participate in the ever-popular 5K Turkey Trot in Boston’s Franklin Park on Thanksgiving Day.
Whatever the week holds for you, we wish you a meaningful and restorative break!
