INVITATION TO THE 2014 BOSTON BACTERIAL MEETING

INVITATION TO THE 2014 BOSTON BACTERIAL MEETING

Registration is open for the 2014 Boston Bacterial Meeting!

For the past 20 years, the annual Boston Bacterial Meeting (BBM) has brought together microbiologists from both academic and industrial settings from New England and beyond.  Last year’s BBM was attended by almost 500 researchers, representing over 100 labs and companies.

BBM2014 will take place on Thursday, June 12th, and Friday, June 13th at the Harvard University Science Center in Cambridge, MA.

We are pleased to host Professor Kit Pogliano, from the University of California, San Diego, as this year’s keynote speaker.  In addition to Professor Pogliano’s impressive research on bacterial interspecies interactions and how bacterial cells are organized during growth, development, and antibiotic treatment, Professor Pogliano is one of the co-founders of BBM.  It is a thus a particular honor to have Professor Pogliano give the keynote address at the 20th Annual Boston Bacterial Meeting.

We are accepting abstract submissions for talks and poster presentations!

The BBM features talks and poster presentations from undergraduate students, graduate students, and post-doctoral fellows who conduct bacteriology research.  Abstract submission for both talks and posters is open through Monday, May 12th.  We encourage early submissions!  For the second year, BBM will feature a poster competition.

We hope that you can join us for this exciting cross-section of current microbiology research!  We look forward to celebrating 20 years of BBM with you!
