Join the Dulac Lab Open House on December 6th

The laboratory of MCB’s Catherine Dulac invites the entire extended MCB community—scientists and non-scientists alike—to an exciting Lab Open House on December 6th. Explore neuroscience research through tours, talks, and casual conversations with lab members!

Lab Tours

The Open House kicks off with two 1-hour lab tours starting at 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm—no signup required. Meet in the tearoom (BL 4000B, 4th floor, Bio Labs, 16 Divinity Avenue) where Catherine Dulac will introduce the lab’s innovative work. Following the introduction, participants will visit three research stations:

“We are thrilled to have a Lab Open House where we plan to showcase our research projects on the neurobiology of parenting, loneliness, and other social behaviors,” Dulac shares. “These topics are of importance to everyone and we need to be able to explain why our research matters to scientists and non-scientists alike because, ultimately, it is the people who fund our work. The Lab Open House will be a great opportunity for us to practice just that and I am particularly thrilled to explain what we do to the administrators and support staff in MCB because their work is essential to us and the catalyst to our current and future success.”

Research Talks @ 4

At 4:00 pm, two members of the Dulac lab will give insightful research presentations:

  • Xiaomeng Han: “Unravel the Synaptic Wiring of Hypothalamic Parenting Circuits via 3D Correlative Microscopy”
  • Changwoo Seo: “Identifying Transcriptomic Axes Governing Neural Dynamics, Behavior, and States”

TGIF Social

To close out the day, the Dulac lab will host a TGIF social. This will be a great opportunity to speak with lab members and learn more about the lab and its research.
