News
- As you are aware, the NIH now requires that electronic versions of any peer-reviewed manuscripts arising from NIH funding and accepted for publication after April 7, 2008 be deposited in PubMed Central (PMC) and made publicly available by PMC no later than 12 months after publication. In addition, as of May 25, 2008, “anyone submitting an application, proposal, or progress report to NIH must include the PubMed Central reference number (PMCID) when citing articles that arise from their NIH funded research.”
Countway has made all this information available from their website at https://www.countway.harvard.edu/. Included are links to further information. PMC also has very helpful information, with answers to common questions and much more. At http://www.nihms.nih.gov/ there are details about the NIH Manuscript Submission System, and there is an FAQ at http://publicaccess.nih.gov/FAQ.htm. - The newsletter is now available!
